HEATH LEDGER X MODEST MOUSE: KING RAT

Sorry if we are a bit late with this video but I couldn't help but share this with you. Shortly before his tragic death, directed a music video for the indie rock band Modest Mouse for the song King Rat, a bonus track from the band’s 2007 release We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank. Although Ledger died before the video was completed, the project was finished by the actor's partners at film company The Masses with the full support of Heath's family. "Ledger conceived the video's theme in order to raise awareness of the plight of whales hunted down illegally off the coast of his native Australia." This video is just another example of the staggering genius of Heath and makes his loss that much more tragic.

PETER JACKSON X THE LOVELY BONES

It's been 4 years since we have seen any work come from Peter Jackson. Sure we are all looking forward to the upcoming release of DISTRICT 9, a movie he executive produced and who's finger prints can be seen all over it. Luckily this December will bring Peter's first directorial release since KING KONG when THE LOVELY BONES is scheduled to hit theaters. Based on the critically acclaimed best-selling novel by Alice Sebold, from a screenplay by Jackson & Fran Walsh & Philippa Boyens, The Lovely Bones centers on a young girl who has been murdered and watches over her family and her killer from heaven. She must weigh her desire for vengeance against her desire for her family to heal. Oscar® nominee Mark Wahlberg and Oscar® winners Rachel Weisz and Susan Sarandon star along with Stanley Tucci, Michael Imperioli and Oscar® nominee Saoirse Ronan. Definitely looks like a possible Oscar contender!

3-D PAVEMENT ART | BY EDGAR MUELLER

Who needs canvas when you have perfectly good pavement.

"Because of his grounding in traditional painting and modern communication, Müller uses a more simple and graphic language for his art. He paints over large areas of urban public life and gives them a new appearance, thereby challenging the perceptions of passers-by. The observer becomes a part of the new scenery offered. While going about their daily life, people change the painting's statement just by passing through the scene." - Metanamorph
