Coming out in theaters this coming Friday is the highly anticipated Judd Apatow-Adam Sandler movie FUNNY PEOPLE. The movie is about a seasoned comedian George Simmons who he has terminal disease and his desire to form a genuine friendship cause him to take a relatively green performer under his wing as his opening act(Seth Rogen). However, the movie also showcases a bunch of stand up comedy from the likes of Sandler, Roger, Jonah Hill, and most notably comedian Aziz Ansari's alter ego RANDY. I was fortunate enough to screen the movie this past week and have to say that RANDY steals every scene that he is both with his stand up and interaction with the other characters. Apatow was so impressed with his performance that he decided to shoot a mockumentary on Randy using his own money and has confirmed he is looking to shoot a feature film around the character.
