BAY CITIES DELI | SANTA MONICA

As a friend of mine once said, if you ask anyone in Santa Monica where a good place to eat is...10 out of 10 will say Bay Cities Deli. After 20+ years in business, Bay Cities has earned itself the reputation for some of the best sandwiches in Los Angeles. I had the pleasure of enjoying a gourmet pastrami sandwich on Friday afternoon and was instantly hooked.

With a fair price (About $6-$8 depending on what you want) these sandwiches are sure to leave you stuffed and thinking about a return visit in the near future. Make sure to check them out next time you're in the area. 1517 Lincoln Blvd. (In between Broadway and Colorado)




The Godmother with the works. Godmother is hands down their most popular sandwich. Genoa salami, Mortadella salami, Coppacola ham, Prosciutto, provolone cheese... with the 'works - mayo, mustard (yellow, honey or dijon), onions, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, mild or hot peppers , & Italian salad dressing. You can order it spicy too! (The one pictured has avocado added).


Hot Pastrami with the works. I had this one, Uh-may-zing.
