Summer Reading For The Moviegoer

We can all agree that it's much easier watching a movie then it is to read a book.  A movie usually takes 2 hours of your life and then you go on your merry way but when it comes to books, those can take weeks and even months and sometimes you don't even finish.  However, there is nothing better then finding a great book that you can't seem to put down and before you know it you have read all of the authors books.  One of my favorite things to do is to read books that will eventually become movies and discuss the quality of the adaptation.  In recent years we have seen a ton of books brought to the big screen including 'The Da Vinci Code', Academy Award winning 'No Country For Old Men' and due out later this year the highly anticipated 'The Road'.

Over at the Thrillist, they have put together a solid list of some very good books by some of the worlds best writers that will soon be brought to the big screen by some of the worlds best filmmakers including Martin Scorcese, Steven Soderbergh, and Jim Sheridan.  So do yourself a favor and check this list out and who knows, by the time the movie is released it might already be your favorite book.
